Chevy Fuel Cell Car Goes 300 Miles Without Refueling

General Motors has reached a milestone with its Chevy Sequel. The Chevy Sequel became the first electric fuel cell motor vehicle to achieve 300 miles on only one tank of hydrogen. And while it achieved 300 miles on one tank of hydrogen, it produced ZERO emissions! It actually emits water.



According to the news it said " The Chevrolet Sequel was introduced in 2005 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit as the first vehicle in the world to successfully integrate a hydrogen fuel cell propulsion system. The first drivable version appeared last fall using lithium-ion batteries and a lightweight aluminum structure. It uses clean, renewable hydrogen as a fuel and emits only water vapor."

General Motors placed a test fleet of about 100 vehicles with customers as part of a deployment plan known as "Project Driveway". Project Driveway will start to gather market data of these test vehicles that used hydrogen as their fuel. The three target areas are California, New York City and Washington.D.C.

If this works out then there will definitely be a better way to fuel our vehicles and keep the environment clean.

Can You Believe it??

It's been crazy around here...busy as usual, but this month has been extremely busy. It's only been a couple of months since I've been back from Thailand but it feels like a whole year has already passed.

The other day I found something that was really inspiring. It was a news article about a 75 year old cancer survivor from Harlem, New York.

Her name is Barbara Hillary. She completed the trek to the globe's northernmost point, just last month at age 75! Can you believe this?? She is one of the oldest people to ever reach the North Pole. She's also the first black woman in history to accomplish this huge feat. My guess is, she's also the first 75 year old cancer survivor to do this!

Mrs. Hillary battled lung cancer during her retirement at age 67. Five years after this, she went dog sledding in Quebec and did some photography of polar bears in Manitoba! When she heard that there had never been a black woman to make it to the North Pole, she made up her mind to be that one black woman to do it, in her 70's!!

The most mind boggling thing is why would a woman in her 70's battling with cancer even come to this idea? She had never done anything like this before and even a seasoned pro will quake with fear at the feat that she accomplished.

It sure put a new found perspective on life and what's possible for me. Excuses such as age, race, background, skill, education or health are just that....excuses.

Kudos to Mrs. Hillary! She definitely has my respect and admiration!

Do it however you can

Lately, I've been visiting the gym again. I had made up my mind to get healthy and and in shape. I also wanted to get back into music. My guitars were collecting too much dust. One of the problems I immediately ran into was the "I don't have enough time for this all!"

Oddly enough, today while searching Google images for my vision slides I found the above pic.

How inspiring! Just goes to show that if you put a little thought and creativity into something , you can get the impossible done.

I think this guy is cool and apparently he's been doing it for a long time.

Just A little More Love

Unexpected Love

Ever since I was a small kid I've always loved turtles. I don't know why, but I've always wanted pet water turtles. Unfortunately back then, it was illegal for pet stores to sell turtles where I lived due to the fact that they carry the Salmonella virus. This is a common thing in almost all reptiles such as turtles and snakes (I love snakes by the way as well!)

So anyway, a year or so ago, I passed by this pet store in the mall and saw that they had a ton of baby red eared sliders. These are water turtles that have little red markings on the sides of their head. Exactly the kind of turtle I used to dream of having as a kid!

They were the size of a small coin and I couldn't believe that they were selling them in the pet store! So I bought 4 of them. They all looked the same but I was really thrilled. I bought the whole kit; turtle filter, reptile lamp, special UV light, heaters to keep them at a healthy temperature, and aquarium. I also bought special vitamin fortified turtle food and reptile calcium for them to eat on for their growing shells.


So in a year's time they began to grow really fast and began to blossom into their own personalities. During all the times I spent caring and cherishing my pet turtles I never noticed the signs of love until I was reading a chapter on the Law of Love in one of Charles Haanel's Master Key Course Books. That's when I began to see the "invisible" things that had been right there in front of me!
Right there on "Big Daddy's" belly shell was a heart! I couldn't believe it! What a synchronicity!
Just goes to show if you look for it....you can find love all around you :)

Law Of Attraction & Gratitude

It's always important to be in the attitude of gratitude. There is always something you can find to be thankful for. A lot of times, with life being the way it is, sometimes it's a little difficult to stop and experience the "little" things in life.

I have taken the time to experience the beauty and love all around me.

I call him "Mr. Squirrel". Since it is spring time I imagine he probably has a family of little ones somewhere or soon on their way.

Perhaps you can look in your own back yard and find something similiar.

I was surprised at how well these pictures came out, since I suck at taking pictures! LoL. I took it with my handy Cannon PowerShot Digital Camera. I'll be using it to post more pics as I go along.

Last month I vacationed in one of my favorite hide-aways ...Thailand. I love this country because quite frankly it is very beautiful and the culture is extremely intriguing to me. You can say it is an exotic and eccentric country....much like those words would describe me..heheh
